  Adult Bereavement Support of Palliative Care of Westchester

Provides bereavement support for those struggling with grief and pain following the loss of a loved one whether or not hospice program was used , call for information, screening : workshops on specific topics offered seasonally.

* Adult Bereavement Support of Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam

Ongoing monthly, professionally facilitated general-loss adult bereavement support groups, open to community bereaved as well as to hospice family members; afternoon support groups in New Rochelle and in Cortlandt Manor, evening support groups in Mt. Kisco and Carmel; group for recently bereaved in Tarrytown; specific workshops offered at various sites, call for information and to register, no fee.

Meets the first Thursday of every month, 7:00pm, at The White Plains Presbyterian Church
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self –help support organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership fees or dues.

* Spousal and Partner Loss

Professionally-led group for those who have lost a spouse or partner, eight week sessions are held in the fall and early spring; call for further information.

* St. Patrick's Widows & Widowers Support Group

Provides mutual support for widowed people; offers social functions; meets 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at St. Patrick's Center, 137 Moseman Road, Yorktown Heights; $15.00 annnual dues.
